Mark Dawson is currently writing a book titled "Full Exposure" and producing a documentary, "The Good Time Guys". Both tell the story of Mark's intimate knowledge of the unsolved murder of actor Bob Crane and the arrest and trial of his friend, John Carpenter, for that murder. It is based on being the son of actor Richard Dawson, who introduced Carpenter to Crane. Mark has personally known both Bob Crane and John Carpenter and in these projects he covers his friendship with Carpenter from that time on, through the murder, and during the fourteen years that the case was dormant to being on the scene minutes after his arrest.

Mark recently worked with director Paul Schrader as a technical advisor on his upcoming film "Auto Focus" that also looks at this subject.
